The Cummings Interview
Firstly, a fascinating insight into the circus that is our Government.

As a Remainer, I've always disliked the man, particularly after his jaunt up to Durham mid-lockdown, but my opinion had done a Boris turnaround by the end.

The way that he found his dark act tactics being exposed, to be amusing. Yes, because they worked. He was incredibly clever at pushing all of the right buttons by using statistics that were kinda true but had a caveat.

I also found his idea of tearing down the political system as it is, and rebuilding it, with people 100 x more capable and talented than the bunch of duffers we're saddled with, a great idea.

Make someone like Andrew Lloyd Webber or Trevor Nun the minister for culture, give a brilliant businessman with a record for turning companies around, the post of Transport Minister, A brilliant economist such as Charlie Bean, the Chancellor. And of course, Carlton Cole as Minister for Sport.

Any decent politicians get battered down with petty party politics where they are having to defend their shit leader…..or their PR budget doesn’t stretch to Bullington Boys Club levels.

In the academic world, the PROPER world, a world which you are only allowed to enter with a "good" degree from a "good" university, there is always a set of ideal politicians waiting to be elected.

If you can't see them then you have just proved yourself to be a stupid cunt who shouldn't even have the right to vote in the first place.

The Pole troll is too thick/ignorant/uninformed to see the U.K. voters squirm at every election at the shit choice across ALL parties…..

Actually, I’m just concerned how easy it is to distract your attention from this rabble of a government’s incompetence and it’s very immediate effects on your life.

It was this slimy prick’s main job to provide exactly the content to this end and now he has outlived his usefulness he has gone to the media to play the victim. Isn’t it fun watching you squirm.

I think the appointment of government ministers is driven by a process firmly rooted in the 5th or 6th form of school.

You don't give somebody a position based on their proven capabilities; you give a person a post to "stretch" them, to "test" them and have them prove themselves fit for the role by growing into it. Big ego drive by whoever is making the appointments.

Doesn't really matter if they fail on all counts, there will be another one along shortly, and if not a series of lucrative directorships will suddenly make themselves available to you.

Apologies Fritzl, it's just that you are absolutely obsessed by immigration into the UK, so I thought you might want to discuss the subject closer to home.

It appears not. I think we can all probably guess as to why.

Actually I was talking about the "feelz" this kind of "media specialist" likes to use to pull your strings.

Not try to change the subject, cunt.

Well, the thread wasn't about immigration either, but you managed to crowbar it in, so with that in mind, talk to us about Poland's immigration policies?

Re: The Cummings Interview
Watched it on i-player last night (my Virgin tv box has shut down & wont be fixed til Friday when the cunt Branson gets back in his spaceship).

A lot of the interview consisted of Laura K saying 'Have you listened to yourself?' as DC told another tale of him and some mysterious types in the background running the government at the request of the floundering Johnson.
He came across as a devious weasel still sticking to his Barnard Castle eye test drive story for example.
The general thought was that he is obviously an intelligent guy who was flabbergasted at the contest being Johnson v Corbyn (both incompetent shits) and shock at the utter uselessness of the people in govt and the public sector supposedly running the country.

Have said before the idea that we need 600 odd MP's is ludicrous. There should be about 60 with other staff and the offices of state should (as suggested below) should be appointed with say someone with experience in medicine & business as Health Secretary & a experienced business expert as Chancellor etc

Because she is woke darling of the left wing media, you’ve highlighted precisely the issue in fact.

Why should I when it is obviously not about Poland. Or even about immigration but filling the box with the bullshit wankers like you expect to hoover up.

Why is it that Boris couldn’t close the borders because of racism, but Jacinda Ardern could?

Isn't it because St Jacinda of Newmarket is all about feelz, and baby eating Boris is a knuckle dragging waycist fascist bully boy Brexit xenophobe?

Re: The Cummings Interview
Why was the club that is colloquially known as "The House of Commons" originally formed?

A place where businessmen could meet and agree to trade, was it not?

The actual trade may have ben conducted elsewhere, but it was there that deals were made/ratified.

Maybe it’s because it had nothing to do with racism. It had more to do with Boris being a weak person who couldn’t stand up to the business interests that fund the Tories.

Jersey, yes he's certainly the only politician who has come out of this with any credibility at all.

SOH - Agree, I remember when Trump mentioned he would be closing the borders particularly to the chinese and he was branded a racist.

Re: The Cummings Interview
I laughed when Cummings said that he didn't talk about the security issues when he was in the Rose Garden explaining his Durham antics. Like it was his decision!

The first rule of security is that no one talks about it publicly. He was under strict instructions to never talk about it. No doubt he still is.

He's a smug bullshitter who just does what he's told. Boris used him up and spat him out.
